The Barringer House was relocated from its original site on present-day Main Street (named Elliott Road in the past) to Airport Road (Route 8, the historic road to Christiansburg). Originally, the house stood on the north/west side of present-day Main Street at Country Club Road, in what is now the cluster of restaurants.
