Episcopal Church

Christ Episcopal Church, Blacksburg – Corner of Jackson and Church Street.

The oldest portion of the limestone church was built between 1874 and 1875, and the church was consecrated on 25 September 1887. The bell tower was added onto the church in 1934, the Parish House in 1944 and the Education Wing in 1972. For more about the church visit their website.

Presbyterian Church

The Blacksburg Presbytery history is outlined on their current website. Their sites of worship have moved multiple times, from the corner of Main & Lee, to Roanoke Street and to the current location on Church and Eakin.

The church at the corner of Main and Lee was built in 1848 and was used by the Methodist and Presbyterians. This is the oldest standing church building in Blacksburg.
